The SMART project and its Social Media AnalyzeR Toolkit

Social media offer huge amounts of data that can be used to understand and study phenomena, processes and behaviors. However, in many cases private and public organizations do not have advanced and effective analysis tools to build "social" strategies, to assess the satisfaction of published content or to know other peculiar characteristics of their customers/users. This speech presents the first results of the SMART project aimed at creating an innovative software toolkit to provide social data analysis services based on machine learning and trajectory mining techniques. The toolkit can be used by a wide range of users to perform acquisition and mining of data from social sources.
