Simonetta Buttò
MIBAC, Istituto centrale per il catalogo unico delle biblioteche italiane-ICCU
(Rome 1957), graduated in Italian Literature at the Sapienza University of Rome and specialised in Modern Philology and Manuscripts studies, directed the University Library in Genoa, the Library of Modern and Contemporary History in Rome, the National Library "Vittorio Emanuele III" in Naples and since May 2015 directs the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of Italian Libraries-ICCU. Since 1998 she has been professor in various Italian universities, including Aquila, Pisa, Siena, Rome. Since 2015 she is Director responsible of «DigItalia: digital magazine in cultural heritage». In 2018 she was awarded of the Giambattista Gifuni Prize for the diffusion of books and reading.

An Infrastructure for access to cultural heritage: The Project of the Italian Libraries and Cultural Institutions Portal
The contribution intends to offer an overview of the Project of an Integrated research system and general catalogue of resources described in the most important databases managed by ICCU. In the new informative model, the data present in the SBN Index, in the digital library of Internet culturale and the specialized databases, such as Manus on line for manuscripts and EDIT16 for 16th century editions, will be accessible starting from a unique interface that will provide to the public a new browsing experience between enriched catalogue records and digital resources, even of different nature than the bibliographic one.
